Evergreen Heritage Center

We were selected by our partner Elan to donate to a charity of our choice as part of their Across the Country Charitable Giving program.  We chose Evergreen Heritage Center, a historic site located in Mt. Savage, MD to receive this donation in the amount of $12,500!

Evergreen provides a variety of outreach services to the local communities, including outdoor STEM workshops, gardening and healthy eating for elementary students, art workshops and summer camps for children, research opportunities for college students, and outdoor teacher workshops.  Evergreen has reached out to more than 10,000 students to feature agriculture, forestry, gardening, and the environment.

For the public, Evergreen hosts several events, including the Native Plant Expo, historic mining tours, an autumn festival, and this year, picnics during Mountain Maryland Museum Week.  All these events are free and open to the public, and people can enjoy the scenic outdoors and beautiful views.
